About this Event

We are delighted 🌷 to invite you to the second concert of our new season, 2025 Fall Sunday Afternoon Concert Series. You are in treat to see this very special string group, GAIA Quartet visiting the city of Hamilton 3-4pm, October 12.


GAIA Quartet is a unique all-women string quartet dedicated to commissioning and performing works by living composers. Founded in 2022 at the Longy School of Music of Bard College by Aspen Barker, Yi Charice Tang, Simone Cartales, and Rosalyn Taylor, GAIA Quartet was formed out of a shared passion for bringing contemporary music to modern audiences. In 2023, GAIA Quartet was named Graduate Chamber Fellows at Longy School of Music of Bard College and served as the Quartet-in-Residence with the Composition Department.

The beautiful concert venue is located in the historic building Church of the Ascension. It is know to have fantastic acoustic for chamber music and orchestral concerts. Both performers and audience love it and want to keep coming back!

Our mission is to make quality live music available in casual settings for a wide range of audience to enjoy its power. No need to arrange tickets or dress up, just show up with your family and friends stress-free to unwind and be entertained! There is a light refreshment after the concert also. Talk to each other and the musicians while enjoying tea/coffee/cookies, etc. See you there!
